About me

About me

I’m an economist with a BSc and Masters, studying financial crises since 1999. My focus began with my undergraduate dissertation on the Russian financial crisis of 1998. My Masters thesis examined The Asian Financial Crisis, before comparing Russia & China's experiences and the mechanisms of financial contagion. It concluded with a scathing attack of the actions of the IMF. It was only later that I appreciated such mistakes were actually malign intent!

In 1999, while still a student, I began investing in property and have maintained a keen interest in finance and real economic history ever since. I chose not to join my university friends in the City of London. Opting instead to continue investing in property* while also teaching economics & introducing my students to the concept of money as a real store of value. By 2018, I had become increasingly concerned about the growing economic instability as debt levels rose amidst public apathy. This was when I started turning my attention toward precious metals. In early 2020, I went public with my concerns, warning people of what lay ahead as a consequence of vast monetary expansion.

I live with my family in the beautiful Somerset countryside.
